About the Mural

Nearly two decades ago, the Estacada Area Arts Commission organized what would become the annual Estacada Summer Celebration, around the Artback's tradition of painting a mural each year.
Kolieha Bush and Nolene Triska created the Celebration of Summer mural inspired by the  Estacada Summer Celebration. It was painted in July 2018 on the Dollar General Building, 416 Broadway St.

"We didn't have a mural about the Estacada Summer Celebration, which was built around the murals," Triska said. "It seemed obvious."

Both Bush and Triska have worked on many of Artback's previous murals. Triska was lead artist for The Mushroom Forager. Kolieha Bush is a founding Artback member and was lead artist for Bird Party, Tree of Life and Celebration '98.
